Registered House Manager

We are looking for full time experienced and innovative Registered Managers to support the opening of our new homes. You will bring together and evolve a new team to support young people in their day to day lives. A strong sense of leadership, the ability to teach, motivate and cultivate a positive and dynamic environment for our young people is essential. This post will involve searching for, interviewing, and inducting the staff team and evolving the team to a strong and resilient position.

As the Registered manager, you should have an in-depth knowledge of the Children’s Home Regulations and will be responsible for implementing all policies and procedures in line with the Regulations and can create the necessary paperwork to meet these Regulations. You will be expected to create Risk Assessments, Care Plans and Behaviour Support Plans as well as all other necessary documentation to support our young people.

You will be providing a nurturing environment whilst offering the highest level of therapeutic and inclusive style of care to our children and young people, you will be influential in improving the lives of vulnerable young people and will be imperative in providing a safe and caring environment for all the residents. and providing a positive role model for all young people.

As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for:

  • The development of the new home and day to day running of the home.

  • Involvement in the tendering, referral and placement process.

  • Staff recruitment, management/ Supervision and professional development.

  • Maintaining a high standard of care /support is maintained at all times in accordance with quality standards including all supporting documentation relating to this care.

  • Ensuring that the best possible outcomes are achieved for the young people placed with us

  • Leadership in safeguarding children and young people.

The right candidate will possess the following skills:

​

NVQ Level 5 in Residential Childcare or equivalent Social Care certificate (Children’s workforce).

It is essential that you have experience working with children and young people within care or with looked after children for a minimum of three years and have worked in a supervisory capacity for a minimum of two years.
